Have a Blessed Holy Week

(Brendan)

May the Lord truly bless you this Holy Week and may we all be grateful for the suffering he endured for our sake.

Below is an image of my favorite painting at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, a painting that is worth sitting in front of and reflecting upon (the real painting is roughly 4 ft. by 5 ft., quite large)...

The Betrayal of Christ, Sir Anthony Van Dyke, oil on canvas, ca. 1618

God bless you!

I also love that painting...had to give a talk on it in High School, and since that time I've learned theology. About a year and a half ago, I think, I wrote something up on this particular painting. I remember that in my research for it, that yellow is the color of betrayal. It has helped me ID Judas in several religious paintings. (Cathy can back me up on that...we were at the MIA a couple years ago for a particular display.)
