Thanks for all of those who have said a prayer for me over the past weeks as I finish my PhD. This morning (from 10:00am-12:00pm) was my doctoral thesis defense at the University of Minnesota... and I passed!
I've come up with a few options for Brendan... 1-He could build a house (just as soon as we sell THIS one!) 2-He could go to bed at a normal time 3-He could take up crosswords (wait, he already DID that!) 4-He could start reading that gigantic stack of art books that has been piling up.
NOT AN OPTION: 1-Applying for any kind of 5th degree in ANY subject matter. 2-Enlisting in the armed forces (patriotic, yes, but still not an option.)
This is a weblog of the Koop Family, located in the Twin Cities of the great state of Minnesota. This blog tracks the conception, design, and construction of our home in Ham Lake, MN, a truly custom home dedicated to the nurturing of the family as the "domestic church" (Ecclesia domestica). Our goal is to create a home that prefigures our eternal home, and fosters the raising of children who will become saints in the kingdom of heaven.

I did decide just now that he could take up massage therapy as long as I'm the only one who can benefit from his expertise!
