(Brendan)
We just signed a purchase agreement this evening! We got an offer today from a buyer who came through our house on Thursday (not the people I referred to in the previous post) and it is a fantastic offer. It's within $5,000 of our asking price, the buyer is putting 25% down (making financing fairly easy) and even put down 2% earnest money. It's a very solid offer, one which we were very happy to sign "as is" after going through all of the fine print along with our realtor, (looking for any catches). Praise the Lord!
As hard as it is to continue to say this, we still need your prayers! We need to get through the home inspection this week, and then the appraisal after that. It's kind of nerve-wracking, but it's much less nerve wracking since the buyer is so solid. The good news for us is that the buyer seems willing to do a close date fairly soon (the signed agreement says "July 30 or sooner"), and so we are hoping for a close around July 10.
Well keep you posted, and thank you so much for all of your prayers that helped get us to this point!

That is such great news! We will continue to pray that the rest of the process is smooth sailing!
YAY! What happens then? Where will you guys live until your new place is complete?
Good question, Rachel. We'll actually be moving in with Brendan's parents for the few months during the build. We're praying for a fun, relaxing time--and for lots of patience and flexibility. :) Seems we'll at least be starting our school year out there, too, which means I'll likely have to register the kids in that district as homeschoolers--I have to research that.
Brendan's mom and I have been laughing about this whole thing because 1-it was the men that came up with the idea and they're the people who are gone most of the day. 2-In one week they're completely demolishing their kitchen so we'll be finding other ways to prepare foods for about six weeks. :) 3-It's going to be a full house because Brendan's sister is moving back from DC and will be there for about two months and his cousin lives there, too! That's ten people who will be learning to live a life of deeper virtue these coming months. :) (Prayers appreciated!) :)
Look at it this way Mol, you'll have built in baby sitters and may now actually get to enjoy some of life's simple pleasures...like going to Target by yourself!
YEAH!!! I am SO happy for you guys!!! I will keep praying ... that the inspection and appraisal go well (and nothing crazy happens =) YEAH! I'm just so happy for you, I'll say it again!
What great news:) Praise the Lord!!! Will keep praying for all the details as well!
